In a recent study from the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University, the “home improvement industry is on a roll“. Researchers have surprisingly learned that more homeowners are planning, or are ready, to splurge more on home improvement projects this year.
“Spending on discretionary home improvements rose by almost $6 billion between 2011 and 2013, the first increase since 2007.”
Researchers have also found that homeowners of the millennial generation are more apt to lean on energy-efficiency makeovers within their properties and baby boomers are more likely to retrofit their homes.
